The Clarets Trust has formally launched its 2026 Board election, with seven positions available, and confirmed that its Annual General Meeting will take place at 7:00pm on Wednesday 12 August 2026 via Zoom.
Nominations are now open and will close at 23:59 on Friday 17 July 2026. The Trust welcomes applications from members who want to contribute to supporter representation, governance, communications, accessibility, membership and the future development of the organisation.
The election is for membership of the Trust Board rather than for fixed officer roles. Successful candidates will initially become ordinary Board members, with responsibilities then agreed collectively by the newly constituted Board.
To stand, a candidate must have been a fully paid-up Trust member on or before 31 May 2026, complete the nomination form, provide an editable Candidate Statement of between 300 and 1,000 words, and be supported by two eligible Trust members.

Candidate details and any required ballot arrangements will be announced on Saturday 25 July. The final AGM agenda, Zoom joining details, proxy form and meeting pack will also be circulated by that date.
