Supporter representatives from every top-flight club, under the auspices of the Football Supporters’ Federation, met with Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore on Thursday 21st July. (Our Chairman, Peter Pike was at this meeting.)
This was the first meeting between fan organisations and the Premier League following the Government’s Expert Working Group on Fan Engagement and Supporter Ownership.
There is a commitment from both fan groups and the Premier League to bi-annual meetings. Sub-groups involving both parties will be organised to look at specific issues in greater detail.
This meeting was attended by one fan from every top-flight club drawn from the FSF’s network of democratically affiliated/associated fan groups, fanzines and activists.
The FSF also produced summary notes to complement the Premier League’s account which you can read here.
