Today sees the start of the 15th European Championship, in France.
Burnley have, as we all know, a long and proud history though this will be the first Euro’s featuring players from our team. Manager, Sean Dyche, see this as “a mark of how far we feel we have come as a club”.
It is “deserved recognition of the form of all three players. They all had an excellent season for us in the Championship and obviously we hope they carry that on into the Euros.”
Our first England player in 42 years, Tom Heaton, is in France as well as Sam Vokes with Wales and Stephen Ward with the Republic of Ireland. Stephen scored in their recent warm up game against Belarus.
On behalf of the entire Trust membership, we wish all three players a successful tournament.
