Trust Achievements

In the last year we reached a compromise agreement with Burnley Football Club and registered Turf Moor as an Asset of Community Value. This was the first such asset registered in Burnley under this new law. Whilst the Trust has no fears that the current directors would want to sell the ground this is an important safeguard for our historic and proud stadium.

The Trust also launched a bottled beer produced by Worsthorne Brewery. It is a good popular beer with a very attractive label – a second batch has now been ordered and the Trust is also looking at having a cask beer produced.

The Trust with the help of the Club and fans has supplied football kits to a number of teams in South Africa. We have had messages of support from the Ottery Project in Cape Town and also in Nelspruit from fans proud to be wearing Burnley colours and also watching our Premier teams – they all want to see promotion next year!

The Trust also had a great meeting with Directors MIKE GARLICK and CLIVE HOLT. A full discussion took place on developments at Turf Moor and Gawthorpe; the facts about the transfer window plus many other issues of interest to all Clarets fans.
