The Clarets Trust bottled beer has now arrived at Worsthorne Brewery with a very attractive label and a name chosen by our members TRUST THE CLARETS will prove a very attractive purchase for many Burnley fans.
We are looking at various gift options for Christmas and intend to give more details in the next programme and also on our website www.claretstrust.co.uk and our Facebook page.
A dark golden coloured beer, 4.3% ABV Trust The Clarets – will be available at an outlet near you soon!
Shares – the Trust currently holds 167 shares in Burnley Football Club but due to lack of funds we have been able to add to that number for some time. If you have an odd share or so you are willing to transfer to the Trust they will be very welcome.
A few people are also intending to leave us their shares in their wills. Over 90% of the shares in the Club are held by Board Members or their families. Whilst our holding is very much a token holding we are still one of the largest shareholders not on the Board. We welcome this but for obvious reasons we are prepared to wait some time!
The Trust is delighted to congratulate one of our Honary Members Jimmy McIlroy his recent recognition nationally as one of the all-time greats in football in this country.
We are also saddened to hear of the death of one of our former players and managers Joe Brown and extend our sympathy to his son and all the family. Joe was a thoroughly decent man whose life was centred round football and also his Christian faith.
